3.1 Creating digital content and formats
Snap, pull, push – digital content in practice
The aim of this task is for participants to explore different formats and tools for creating digital content. In doing so, they will independently acquire theoretical knowledge and apply it in an interdisciplinary manner to various practical scenarios.

1. Photography knowledge
2. Graphic design knowledge
3. Audiovisual media production knowledge
4. Project marketplace
This task consists of three parts.
In the first part, participants deal with one of the following topics: photography, graphic design, or audiovisual media. At the corresponding knowledge stations, they find videos and articles that provide them with useful information to get started with the respective topic. They also find suitable tools and inspiration for their own projects.
In the second part, participants should gather at the project marketplace and announce small projects or join an existing project. Within these projects, they can put the knowledge they have learned into practice. Because not all participants will arrive at the project marketplace at the same time, the project groups should post their plans on a kind of “bulletin board” so that other people can join at a later time. There is also a list of tools available at the project marketplace to help participants find the right tools for their projects. For the projects, it makes sense for participants who have dealt with different knowledge stations to form a group. This allows for the creation of formats that are as diverse as possible with a wide variety of digital content.
Project example: Three participants could get together who want to create a podcast on the topic of “TikTok and youth work.” After the initial brainstorming session, two people could work on the concept and recording preparation, and one person could work on the design and logo for the podcast.
In the third part, the individual projects are briefly presented and the participants reflect together on what they have learned.
Preparation
- The individual stations must be prepared and, if necessary, equipped with headphones.
- The project marketplace can best be prepared with a visual flipchart or Metaplan paper.
Notes on moderation
- Since the time allocation is quite variable, it makes sense to set a time frame at the beginning in which the participants should visit the knowledge stations and when they should start working on their projects.
- The projects that are to be created are intended to put the knowledge learned into practice and encourage participants to think in an interdisciplinary way. The aim is not to complete the projects in detail within the given time. The more that is created and the more creative the implementation, the better.
