This task consists of three parts.

In the first part, the trainers introduce the European Union’s Digital Competence Framework DigComp as a thematic introduction. Participants learn about the different areas of competence and are presented with real-life examples.

In the second part, participants complete the Digital Youth Work Self-Assessment Tool. This can be done individually or in small groups, depending on whether the focus is more on learning processes or self-assessment.

In the third part, participants reflect on their impressions, strengths, and weaknesses in a plenary session and note down the areas of competence in which they would like to develop further and those in which they already have skills.

  • The facilitator should familiarize themselves thoroughly with DigComp in advance so that they can answer any questions that participants may have. A brief introduction from us is available here: DigComp
  • The facilitator should also familiarize themselves with the self-assessment tool in advance and have tested it.
