Procedure
This task consists of three parts.
In the first part, participants are introduced to the different skill areas of the DigComp 2.1 reference framework and explained with examples. The skill matrix (training material 1) should be used for this purpose. The goal is for participants to fill in the matrix. To do this, they work in pairs for 10 to 15 minutes. The number of work phases can vary depending on the time available. The pairs each choose a competence area they would like to work on. They then discuss this and write down specific learning tips or resources on moderation cards. They should also research and add digital websites or learning platforms that are suitable for self-learning in this area:
- How have you acquired (digital) skills and knowledge so far? How do you keep up with your digital interests?
- What sources of information and learning resources do you use/know? Which actors or continuing education and training opportunities do you know?
- What tips and advice do you have?
- How can tools help you strengthen your digital competence?
- What role does AI play in strengthening digital skills and what does this mean for continuing education in this area?
Participants should ensure that the matrix is filled in as evenly as possible during the work phases and that there is not too much redundancy.
In the second part, the learning tip matrix is discussed in a plenary session and any questions are clarified.
In the third part, participants have time to reflect individually on the areas of competence in which they would like to develop further. Finally, they write down three concrete steps they would like to take to achieve this.
Preparation
- The learning matrix must be prepared as described in training material 1.
- A method can be prepared for finding or changing pairs, depending on the number of participants.

- The learning tip matrix must be created in advance for this task.
