A recent example of digital youth work standards, from the National Youth Agency in the UK.
The National Youth Agency (NYA) is the national body for youth work in England. It aims to champion the transformative power of youth work, and works towards all young people being able to benefit from the life-changing impact of extraordinary youth work.
The digital youth work standards outline the expectations set by the National Youth Agency towards digital youth work. The standards are informed by national youth sector organisations and youth work practitioners.
The National Youth Agency understands digital youth work as “the use and integration of digital tools, activities and topics into youth work practice. It’s not a separate discipline within youth work, and is not about replacing face-to-face delivery, but can be embedded within all areas of practice to improve accessibility and engagement, as well as enhance outcomes for young people.” (source)
