A toolkit to support young people to navigate social media safely and prevent violence.
In today’s digital age, most young people have a smartphone, giving them constant access to content and communication with both friends and strangers. Unfortunately, a majority of children report encountering harmful experiences online – an issue that becomes even more prevalent among vulnerable young people, particularly those with multiple vulnerabilities.
Scottish Violence Reduction Unit, YouthLink Scotland, and Medics Against Violence have partnered to create the Quit Fighting for Likes campaign, which this toolkit is a part of. The social media templates and accompanying practitioner resources can be easily used in schools and youth groups, in formal and non-formal education, alike.
